What Coronado and Point Loma do to a window
Coronado is an island in everything but name, with the Pacific on Ocean Boulevard, San Diego Bay on the Village side and Glorietta Bay in between, and the Cays sit on the Silver Strand with water on both sides of every street. The ocean breeze comes straight across the island, and the salt dries on the glass of the Ocean Boulevard homes and the Village streets off Orange Avenue as a white haze within two or three weeks. Across the bay, Point Loma takes the same wind on the Sunset Cliffs side, where the surf breaks against the rocks below Sunset Cliffs Boulevard and the spray climbs the bluff onto the west-facing windows of the houses above it.
The bay sides are a little gentler but not clean. La Playa, Fleetridge and the Wooded Area look over the yacht club basins and the bay, and the glass picks up salt mist on every afternoon breeze plus the fine grime that comes off the boats and the Navy traffic in the channel. Coronado Cays homes have docks at the back door, and the bayside glass on the Cays fogs with salt faster than the street side. Everywhere, the hard San Diego water leaves sprinkler spots on the lower panes, the Torrey pines and eucalyptus in the Wooded Area and along Coronado’s older streets fill the gutters, and the salt corrodes the aluminum frames and leaves a white powder on the sills.
Oceanfront homes on Ocean Boulevard, Sunset Cliffs Boulevard and the water side of the Cays do best every month or two, with quarterly the rest of the year and the inside glass done once a year. Homes in the Village, Loma Portal and the inland streets of Point Loma are fine on a quarterly plan. Coronado has a lot of historic homes with original wood sash, and Point Loma has a lot of mid-century glass with view windows over the bay, and we clean both with the right methods. We know the gate at the Coronado Cays and the bridge traffic, work Coronado and Point Loma on their own days, do the whole street in one pass, and send a text the morning of each visit.

Coronado and Point Loma window cleaning questions
How much does window cleaning cost in Coronado and Point Loma?
First-clean pricing varies by home size and service package. A first cleaning, inside and out, is $259 for a home up to 2,000 square feet, $329 for 2,000 to 3,500 square feet, and $429 for larger homes on our Silver package. After that, a quarterly maintenance plan runs $60, $77, or $100 a month for those same home sizes. Oceanfront and riverfront estates get a custom quote.
How often should windows be cleaned in Coronado and Point Loma?
Oceanfront homes on Ocean Boulevard, Sunset Cliffs Boulevard and the water side of the Coronado Cays pick up salt within weeks and do best every month or two. Homes in the Village, La Playa, Fleetridge and Loma Portal are fine on a quarterly plan. Most people have the inside glass done once a year.
Do you work in the Coronado Cays?
Yes. We work the Cays on a regular day and are set up for the gate procedure. Add us to your gate list or give us the procedure when you book, and we send a text the morning of each visit so you know when we are coming and can leave the dock side open for us.
Can you clean the bayside glass and the dock-side sliders?
Yes. Most Cays and La Playa homes have a wall of glass and a set of sliders facing the water, and the salt and boat grime build up there faster than anywhere else on the house. We clean the glass with water-fed poles from the patio or the dock, and clear the tracks on the sliders so they stop grinding on sand and salt.
